My Landscape Style
My landscape work is inspired by the places that stay with me like quiet coastlines, open fields, winding paths, and the shifting colours of the sky. I’m drawn to the way light transforms a scene, how shadows soften or sharpen the land, and how atmosphere can carry a feeling as strongly as any subject.
When I paint landscapes, I focus on mood as much as detail. Sometimes the work leans toward realism, capturing familiar forms and contours; other times it becomes more expressive, using colour and texture to convey the emotion of being in that place. I enjoy exploring the balance between observation and interpretation allowing the landscape to guide me while still leaving room for imagination.
These pieces are reflections of moments in nature that have caught my attention or offered a sense of calm. My hope is that viewers feel a connection to the scene, whether through memory, mood, or simply the beauty of the natural world.
